J N Miller's Steam Mill

A derelict mill in Wolverhampton, this was built in 1851 by William Fairbairn on the site of a destroyed mill. A coal fired steam engine was used to drive 18 milling stones for grinding corn. In these photos taken in 2000, it becomes a strange, surreal place, lost in time and inbetween two worlds. 20 of 40 pictures are shown here.
